About Wakan
Country of Origin:
France
Founder:
Joel Domergue (ex-Scorpa)
Best Known For:
Wakan 1640—American V-twin in a lightweight French sport chassis
Company History
The Wakan 1640 married a big American V-twin to a featherweight French chassis, hiding the airbox in the tank shell and keeping mass centralized for agility. The concept was visceral torque without cruiser heft: a roadster that wheelied on command yet carved with European precision. Hand-finished components, quality suspension, and thoughtful ergonomics made it feel special, while the boutique scale kept it rare. Wakan demonstrated that hot-rod character and continental handling can share one machine when packaging is clever and weight is sacred.
