Company History

Jotagas (often styled JTG) emerged from Spain’s trials hotbed with a simple goal: give expert riders a chassis that vanishes under them. With input from multi-time world champion Jordi Tarrés, the brand focused on razor-sharp balance, tractable bottom-end power, and component choices that withstand repeated crashes and wet, rocky sections. Aluminum frames, quality suspension, and engines tuned for clean response let riders hop, pivot, and climb with minimal fatigue. Jotagas also spun its trials DNA into light enduro/cross-country machines where low mass and instant throttle make technical terrain less punishing. Production volumes remained modest, but paddock credibility was high: bikes felt race-ready out of the crate, and spares pathways reflected a company living close to its customers. Historically, Jotagas reinforces Spain’s leadership in trials by prioritizing precision over flash. The brand’s impact is measured in cleans and podiums, but also in the way its bikes teach riders finesse—trust the front, place the rear, and float through obstacles that once required brute force.
